Maybelline Pure Blush Mineral Moonlit Mauve - Photos , Swatch & Review

I first read about on laura aka lollipop26's blog where she said she loves Moonlit Mauve Pure Blush mineral .I knew i had to have it. I oredred it from fragrancedirect.co.uk last year when my brother was in U.K . Maybelline Pure Blush Mineral Moonlit Mauve was my first ever mineral blush purchase.

I was bit skeptical about using the mineral line initially because lets be honest they do tend to make a mess. But once you get used to it , it wont be so difficult to use.

The packaging is cute and typical mineral round plastic pot blush kind , i love the sparkles / shimmer on the lid.

Maybelline Pure Blush Mineral Moonlit Mauve is a medium pinky plum with silver shimmer i would say. I am not a fab of shimmer blushers but the shimmer isn't so obvious once you apply the blush.

I use my kabuki brush to apply Maybelline Pure Blush Mineral Moonlit Mauve , i dont need much to get the desired flush, i tap out a little first on the lid ,I start by swirling my kabuki in the powder , tap off the excess ( a little goes a long way ) and apply on the apples of my cheeks . I make sure to blend & buff it well . I learnt one thing that mineral blushes usually work best when applied in layers rather than at once.

Coastal Scents Flat Mineral Bronzer Buffer Large brush- Review

When i want to buy any makeup brush , esp face brushes there is only one place i always go COASTAL SCENTS  .There are many reasons for that including affordable prices and international shipping. If you read my blog you would know that i had couple of lost packages issues last year and there was time when i stopped shopping online but I never ever had any issues with coastal scents orders.

Most of my brushes are from coastal scents and i absolutely love their Coastal Scents Undercover HD Foundation . Today i will be reviewing Coastal Scents Flat Mineral Bronzer Buffer Large brush.

I really like the Coastal Scents Flat Mineral Bronzer Buffer Large brush. It really feels so soft on my face. The size is just perfect for buffing. When i bought it, i was going through a flat top brushes phase , i had intentions of using it for mineral and liquid foundation like i sometimes use my ELF powder brush , but instead i feel its perfect for bronzer.

Recently i have started using it for contouring. I got the idea from Kandee jhonson's video on how to contour your face / cheekbones.

  

The Bristles of this brush are densely packed and very soft.The bristles are so evenly cut at the top where as if compared to ELF powder brush's bristels which are more spread out.I have tried using mineral foundations , liquid foundations , bronzer and pressed powders with it and it blends everything so easily and i dont have to put extra effort into anything. I have washed it many times since i got it last year and i haven't noticed any shedding.

I am sure by now you all know that  Illamasqua  is one of my favorite brand. I love  Illamasqua lipsticks , they are bold , bright and pigmented .  My love affair with their lipsticks started when i got their lipstick in maneater , before that i was a nude/neutral lip color kinda gal. But  Illamasqua Maneater changed everything .

Now i prefer bold lips and i was damn excited when i saw Illamasqua salacious. The packaging of Illamasqua lipsticks are sleek ,sexy , shiny. It comes in a square tube with is glossy and black .

 

Illamasqua salacious is a beautiful raspberry red. Its the only lipstick on illamasqua website without any description at the moment and its out of stock as well.

 

Illamasqua lipsticks glides on smoothly and they are really pigmented. Illamasqua salacious is a matt lipstick so dont forget to exfoliate and moisturize lipstick prior to applying or it can settle into fine lines.This is one layer of Illamasqua salacious.
