Essence Gel Eyeliner Midnight In Paris 01 - Review

 

Special occasions require special eye make-up products like the Gel Eyeliner from Essence! It's ultra-smooth gel formula allows an accurate application similar to liquid eyeliner. The range offers various effects, such as matte or shimmering.  

I bought Essence Gel Eyeliner Midnight In Paris almost a year ago from ENEM store liberty,Lahore with bunch of other Essence products. I remember i grabbed it as the first thing because i had read Karen from makeup & beauty's review and it was on my rader since then.Essence is a European brand which is not only affordable but have really amazing quality products. I was impressed with the gel liner and can you imagine its still going strong since then ? . Its is the more creamy gel liner i have tried and i have tried a bunch. It knocked maybelline by its feet . I use a bent eyeliner brush , and it just glides so smoothly and the texture is so creamy . It is really pigmented as you can see from the swatches below. I have been using it in different ways , even on waterliner and on lower lashline. I have oily lids but it last almost 10-12 hours on me . It does  fade away a little but nothing major. The removal is easy with any oil based eye makeup remover or in my case i use pond cleansing  cream if i am only wearing it on my eyes.

In the photos below i have used the liner in different ways in different looks. You can see that its easy to achieve thin or thick liner with a right brush and it still looks pigmented even over a darker shadow.

Do i recommend :  Do i need to say more ? It comes with a great price, stays on a long time, pigmented, smooth.One plus point is that it hasnt dried out yed even after a year of using like other gel liners.

If I have to name one product which changed my 2012 Nail polish removal routine , then I will give award to Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover. It has changed my whole perspective of nail polish removing . I am a lazy potato !!  Although I love wearing nail polishes esp the glitter ones but I hate removing them . Let's be honest removing glitter ones is such a pain but not with this baby . You see it takes off polish, even hard to remove glitter so easily . The direction on bottle says instant to keep nail in foam for at least one minute.but me and my impatient self , i just dipped my nail for approx 5 seconds and TADA the polish was GONE!. I only do one nail at a time. If there is a residue then i just wipe it with a cloth or something .

I love it for so many reasons like Doesn't dry out skin, doesn't have chemically smell and do what it is supposed to do , removes polish instantly . i am a happy user and i have already have repurchased a back up.The smell might bother some but for me its not a huge deal since it doesn't linger and i have habit of washing my hands afterward so it completely vanishes.

It's definitely a must have. I bought mine from sephora stores I know in Pakistan Bourjois has something similar , which is called Bourjois Magic Nail Polish remover which is available at some leading stores as well as on beautyarena.com 
 

Festive Lips with Revlon Color Burst Lipstick - Ruby

Revlon Color Burst Lipstick in Ruby is a beautiful red with blue undertones. I thought of it instantly when i was thinking of wearing festive lips.

I have been in love with Revlon colorburst lipstick since they were launched. I mean whats not to love about these? The elegant quilted packaging with top of each tube matches the shade inside, The shades range is amazing , the creamy formula. The wear is almost 3-4 hours on me without meals . They aren't particularly the most pigmented formula ones but build able as you need 2-3 coats of lipstick to get opaque finish but these are quite moisturizing . I have almost 8 shades , I had more but i gave some to my sister and some to cousins. Some shades are discontinued and one is LE . They do have tendency to wear off easily so if you don't like re touching your lipsticks you might want to stay away

I have had Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional for almost two months. I have used it multiple time so i think its the right time for the review.

I have had my eyes on Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional for the longest time. But whenever i went to sephora , i got distracted by other things so i didn't get a chance to try it until i was sent this almost two months ago. So before i start the actual review let me explain my skin type. Its dry-Combination (oily from T zone) with medium sized pores on nose and around nose. I usually apply it after cleansing and moisturizing my skin. I dab it and apply it with my fingers. I will highly suggest waiting after moisturizing and before applying foundation. I wait few minutes before i actually apply my foundation. It glides on skin effortlessly,also helps makes my foundation go on amazingly. It doesn't feel heavy on skin, and makes my skin look smoother. Now on to the pores part, I noticed that it does minimizes the pores. It actually takes away the harshness of pores and fines lines and softens them up, But they don't disappear. you can apply Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional under or over makeup, but it definitely goes on more smoothly before foundation or powder and this is how i apply it (before foundation).To be honest i think
L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Magic Perfecting Base does the same job with affordable price.

Do i recommend : Was i blown away by this ? Not exactly but Its a decent product and its really good with minimizing the pores. It actually takes away the harshness of pores and fines lines and softens them up, But they don't disappear.

Essence Colour & Go Quick Drying Nail Polish in Choose Me - NOTD

I am obsessed with Essence Colour & Go Quick Drying Nail Polish in Choose Me. Its not today that i discovered this fact but a while ago when i spotted Essence display at ENEM store Lahore a year ago and bought this tiny gem and since then i can not stop wearing this when ever i get a chance. I am in love with the formula, quite packaging which has a glittery cap , price and the shade itself. The polish has a good wide brush which makes application easy and no streak. This polish was a three coater for me but you can get away with two (but three looks better) .This is a polish which is opaque and also dries fairly quickly.

 

The shade : One word STUNNING . A beautiful mix of blue-green-teal  with gold micro glitter 
I can not wait for my next trip to Essence counters and get more shades .

This is my first Wet n Wild blusher , I picked it up from Walgreen. I am a huge fan of wet n wild eyeshadows and i even love their matte lipsticks. And let me be honest with you , it was a love at first sight with Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher Heather Silk. It is a beautiful pinkish berry matte shade .I love pinkish/berry/mauve shades of blushes and this one made my heart skip a beat on first swatch. OH SO PIGMENTED. It applies so easily , with the help of a right blush brush. The texture is smooth and soft . They remind of Sleek Makeup blushes and my beloved Nars . Ofcourse they cost a lot more less but if you dont want to pay $27 for a Nars blush , i will recommend you to check these blushes out. They have same amazing texture we look for. It will look amazingly on almost any skin tone, but fair skinned beautied may want to apply it with light hand. Medium- dusky skin tones gals will rock this all year around , but it is an amazing winter/fall shade.

Eye Makeup - Nyx Nude On Nude Palette

I am digging this look. It took me 5 mins to do one eye . The coral crepe worked beautifully with the eyeshadow and complemented the whole look. The essence gel liner is the bomb. If you have access to essence cosmetics , I cant insisit you enough to pick this little cutie ASAP. I have mine for more than 8 (??) months and it still works ah-mazingly . Bourjois volume clubbing mascara is still my HG mascara .  I tried benefit they are real , Guerlain Noir G Mascara But nothing is as amazing as bourjois one.

NYX Nude on Nude Palette - Review,Photos & Swatches

I bought this palette when it was launched at ulta.com . Ulta was having 40% off sale at selected brands and nyx cosmetics was included . I already have urban decay naked palette , but I didn't buy it because I wanted to compare . I personally love nyx eyeshadows , ESP their single eye shadows so I thought the discount was alone a great reason for me to grab nyx cosmetics nude on nude palette . 

NYX Nude on Nude set is a classy medley of 20 neutral eye shadows and 10 vibrant lip colors that work for every skin tone and every occasion. This makeup palette comes with a mirror and 2 applicators for your lips and eyes, making it perfectly portable.

Nyx nude on nude palette comes with 20 eye shadows and 10 lip colors . Most of the eyeshadow in this palette leans towards cool tones but all of them are pretty pigmented . They are a great mix of matte , satin and glitter . Some are better than the others . The matte ones were lityle chalky. The shadows in this palette aren't as finely milled as I usually prefer my nyx eyeshadows but for the price I paid or the regular price you can't complain . They last pretty good if wore alone but of course pairing up with a nice eyeshadow primer will even enhance the shadows and longitivtiy . They do have fall out , which bummed me out but I usually apply my foundation after I apply my eye makeup so this problem can be fixed but I was really disappointed . The eyeshadows have nice range of colors from pale white to deep black , shimmy beige to smoked brown . The lip products are your average kind, some of them are pretty pigmented but little sticky but they have nice range of pinks/coral/reds .
