Skin Care Saturday with -Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic & Gentle Face Exfoliator

These products came beautifully hand wrapped in lovely tissue paper as do all their products ,which i think is a lovely and very personal touch. I am reviewing two of my favorite Liz Earle products so Far  Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic  & Gentle Face Exfoliator   , more to come in future

What it is?

This heavenly scented, non-drying floral tonic revitalises, soothes and brightens. Gentle and alcohol-free it also adds a fine layer of moisture. With conditioning natural source vitamin E, hydrating organic aloe vera and rose-scented geranium.      

What does it do?

•     Cucumber extract is calming, cooling and toning.
•     Calendula is healing and anti-inflammatory making it ideal for sensitive skin.
•     Organic aloe vera juice moisturises, soothes and can even help relieve sunbur 

 How to use:

Moisten a cotton wool pad and sweep over face and neck every morning and night after cleansing with Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. This tones, brightens and hydrates your skin; follow by gently massaging in Skin Repair Moisturiser.

  Its clear liquid (like water)product that have a lovely natural smell which is a mixture if all the ingredients.

 I fell in love with this the first time I used it .The tonic is so refreshing and contains Vitamin E , cucumber and Aloe Vera which soothe and soften the skin and Glycerin which draws water from the atmosphere to the skin.It is very uplifting, refreshing and revitalizing,this one does it's job of toning and freshening but with a heavenly fragrance, and really gives you a boost (in my case makes me Happy). I actually ENJOY using this product.

The bottle comes with a twist up lid which is great and convenient, because you twist to dispense on the cotton ball, then twist to close,EASY ! I know for lazy girls like me, so it is really hygienic and the product stays fresh. I get reaction if some skin care product doesn't suit me , What I have found particular good, is that my skin does not react to the products.

Its a great product for animal lovers , why? This product is completely animal friendly and as well as not being tested on animals, has no animal extracts and i am a Muslim so its Alcohol free, its a PLUS for me.

    ♥Gentle Face Exfoliator  

What it is?

This kind, yet effective facial polisher is ideal for gently buffing away dead skin cells and impurities to leave all skin types (except sensitive) brighter, smoother and fresher. 

  

What does it do?

•   Sweet almond oil helps to regulate the skin's moisture level.
•     Cocoa butter is rich and nourishing and ensures your skin is left feeling smooth and soft.

I am Big fan of Liz Earle as you can see from previous review. But I must say that I personally keen on the smell of this one too. It smells a bit like mint & eucalyptus . I am a fan of eucalyptus smell because i personally find it soothing.But its not very over powering.Its a beautiful smelling Exfoliator

This Gentle Face Exfoliator is a kind and effective polisher which buffs the skin for a brighter complexion. My skin felt quite soft after using this. It does say not for use on sensitive skin and I do have sensitive skin but *phew* it didn't irritate my skin or gave me any red spots.For me its kind of buffer, and polishes away dead and dry skin, giving the skin a nice texture and glow.I use the product when the skin is looking a tad dry and dull. The skin really shines after the use. I like the pump dispenser, it is non messy and fussy.

Over all its a mild exfoliater ,Its quite gentle yet scrubs off dead skin well.

Favourites: Makeup Brushes (for travelling )

Once upon a time i was obsessed with makeup brushes, I still i am , so wanna buy sigma makeup brushes  , mean while i bought some , threw away most of them . I travel a lot , usually twice a month for a week or less.I don't like packing heavy , so i am gonna share with you my favorite brushes which i tug along me when i travel or use when i am at home even.

If i am in pleasant mood i will share my makeup brush collection someday :)

First i will do the face brushes

1 Coastal Scents Italian Badger Angle Blush Brush This brush is absolutely soft and applies color so beautifully! 2.E.L.F. Studio Angled Foundation Brush I normally don't use this for foundation. It's head is way too small for my big face  but this works pretty well Bronzer/highlighter brush for me too

3  E.l.f. Studio Powder Brush  costs $ 3, The synthetic bristles are extremely soft and very dense.As it is a flat top brush, the coverage is from medium to full, which is what I want.Its my Must have brush. I would highly recommend it. It doesn't shed at all.seriously. Its on the top of my favorite list

4-ELF studio Kabuki face brush I needed a kabuki brush to make it easier to apply my mineral foundation and i am glad i don't have to look any further or anywhere else.The best thing I can say about this brush is that it makes application of all mineral products  MUCH less messy.I absolutely love it- No shedding, no dyes and no chemical smell.* Read full review here*

Now let move on the eye makeup brushes, which i always grab when i am out traveling and i know i would have to use eye makeup, these are some of my favorite eye makeup brushes, I am not featuring my angled eyeliner brush, because its a must for me and i have to have it , no matter what for my gel liners, i use Revlon professional angled eyeliner brush

1 Luscious Eyeshadow blending brush,This is probably one of my favorite eyeshadow brushes It's super soft and dense.Its a great blending brush, but is just small enough to where you feel you have enough control applying color with it*Full review here*

2 Luscious shader brush, its perfect for smudging and blending eyeliner below the lashes for a easy smokey look*Full review here*

3.Barry M eyeshadow brush I got it with one of their Get the look gift set in pink ,This is a great shadow brush. I use it all the time with my pressed eyeshadow.

4Coastal Scents Concealer Brush I absolutely love this brush.i use this for the under eye or face and then softly pad over the concealer with my finger to settle it down.I washed it so many time , has kept it's shape.

5 Coastal scents Chisel Fluff Large Shadow Brush I normally use this brush with my loose eyeshadow ,pigments or mineral eyeshadow ,It's perfect for pressing eye shadow or pigments, means not for sweeping but pressing. It is  soft yet sturdy enough for perfect application and very dense, Picks perfect amount of eyeshadow.

I pack my brushes in this cute zipper bag i got from variety book ,Liberty Lahore,for like 95 -100 rs.

I have had this product awhile, I got it in January , 

This product comes in a small pump container. Though the container gives the appearance that the product is white, when dispensing the product, you will notice that it’s actually a clear gel. I normally use two pumps for the whole face, means you really need a small quantity,It spreads and  blends really well and does create a lovely base for make up. My skin always feel like velvet afterward, this is because it has two types of silicone in it. This primer feels a bit oily when you start applying it to the face but as you blend it in , it becomes almost soft and with  light powder-ish feeling while leaving my skin feeling supple and moist.This primer doesn't make my face dry or flaky and it actually seemed to help with oil control with appearance of pores. I have a dry skin , with oily T zone , so i concentrate on my T zone while applying , as it help oil control.
Over all its a nice affordable primer, i have Lo'real studio secrets primer too, but i reach for it mostly as it spreads easily and needs a small amount.

Texture:

Ultra smooth, clear, gel.

Con:The only Con  is the packaging. You cannot see how much you have left unless you unscrew the pump. The pump also lets this product down as I cannot pump any out anymore.

So I've tried this out for the past 6-8 months, summer and winter,I think i can my views, okay now here i must say , it was the hardest thing to choose when i was placing an order in January , as i have read mixed reviews about this foundation that i got confused , but after 4 days of hard work( i.e was to put in basket  , read reviews,and then delete, read reviews , then again put it back ) Finally !! i decided to order it , now came the more HARDEST part : to choose right shade for my NC 30-35 skintone, it took me another day to choose shade, i went through so many blog reviews and swatches(Thank you oxfordjasmine and sirvinya for their swatch posts) and still couldn't make my mind, but reviews on coastal scents actually helped me when i read that ST-05 is match to MAC NC 30 , so i took the risk and ordered it.I am glad  that color  couldn't be more  perfect.This foundation blended in very well with my natural skin tone.Good coverage (Light to medium coverage) and build able without being too cakey.The bottle comes with a pump, the look of pump is a little cheap(Plastic), 2 pumps are enough for me to cover my whole face, if i want total airbrushed flawless finish , i use the third one. I tend to use my fingers when i use any foundation , but this goes well with E.LF powder brush too as its nor very thick and stippling is pretty easy with it.

To be honest I haven't worn the Coastal Scents Undercover HD foundation constantly because I usually don't wear foundation on a daily basis, and i only wear it when i am taking photos or going out in night for a wedding or some formal occasion.

Texture:

The texture, as I mentioned above its kinda liquid and runny in consistency.But i didn't have any trouble in application

I read reviews where many bloggers said it has a dewy finish , The finish is definately matte.I have Dry skin , so mostly Matt foundations end up flaky on me ,But with this foundation my skin didn't look flaky, it looked just matt, pore less and evenly.

I am wearing Coastal Scents Undercover HD Foundation in above pictures taken on different days , lipstick in Mac Myth and Rimmel n*** delight in the second picture(. You can check my Second pic more photos here)

 

Over all this  foundation lasts well, it has a great finish and is fairly inexpensive. However the color choices are really hard to match since they are only available online.

 Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds lip gloss in  Crystal Amethyst

I love , how Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds looks on my lips, one word SUPERB and Sexy(Well these are two words), i always get complements whenever i wore this gloss , in fact i bought my second tube when i gave away my first to a friend when she couldn't stop praising it.Its Pretty and non sticky .

I bought it a year or half ago for rs 625-650 from Alfatah , liberty market Lahore.
I read online that its discontinued in USA, well i will have to see if its still available in Pakistan.

Guess the Gloss name ?

I have no idea which shade it is ?.I am sorry i don't remember the shades name, as all the labels and printing is gone.
