Ellis Faas winter glow gift set -Review , Swatch and Photos

I was so excited when i got this in my mail early January, I have about Ellis Faas winter glow gift set way back before it was even launched here.

The Winter Glow Gift set consists of the following three Ellis faas best selling products products:

•  Creamy Lips “Ellis Red” L101 
• Ellis Eyes Light E305  
• Black Mascara E40

These three products together can be used to create either a dramatic party look or a more subtle every day look. 

Creamy Lips “Ellis Red” L101

This is a perfect true red blood. The color is so beautiful and pigmented.It has a lightweight gel-like liquid-to-cream consistency which glides easily on lips. Creamy Lips is a liquid lipstick in a sleek pen with a sponge applicator.  

ellisfaas.com says :Creamy Lips offers the most cover when applied and is a great lipstick which really helps to define your lips. It feels soft and velvety and, thanks to a special blend of lightweight oils, not only hydrates your lips but gives them the appearance of being fuller.

Ellis Eyes Light E305  

Ellis created Lights that are much much more than just highlighters. Although liquid, they dry upon application to create the illusion of metallic eyes.  The texture appears moist whilst being perfectly dry with a smooth finish, so you won't feel any stickiness and you'll avoid those pesky eyelid creases.  The Lights are available in five shimmering shades: warm silver, green-gold, bronze, lilac and holographic Bordeaux.

E305 “holographic Bordeaux”.

Ellis Faas eyes light in E305 is a beautiful metallic blue/brown/green.  I would say it has a brown base and duochrome properties. I absolutely love this shade. It looks gorgeous on its own or paired with some gold eyeshadow like i did in the picture below . I used a matt brown in the crease and outer corner.

 It comes with a brush applicator. I prefer using a separate makeup brush for applying this rather than using it directly from the applicator

Ellis Faas Black Mascara E40

This is my least loved product in the set. I guess the creamy lipstick and the eyeshadow took over. The ellis faas black mascara comes with a long thin brush which is ideal for separating lashes and lengthening. But It's not much for thickening. Over all its a fairly decent mascara.

ELLIS FAAS mascara features a creamy texture that perfectly coats, lengthens and separates each individual lash and is well-suited for customising different looks. Use the elegant, long wand of the brush to stroke on one coat to accentuate your lashes with subtlety, or to frame your eyes with more a more dramatic effect, build up the lashes with additional coats.

Available in Black (E401) and Chocolate Brown (E402).

 Ellis explains how she uses the combination of products:

Party look:
1. Use the Light in holographic Bordeaux-green as an overall eye shadow. Apply liberally onto the eyelids and also underneath the eye in a bold shape. Soften the edges with your finger for a dramatic smokey eye.
2. Apply the mascara in several coatings. Because the mascara stays flexible you can easily layer it and even curl the lashes afterwards - do wait a few minutes between layers.
3. Load the applicator of the lipstick with a little bit of product and outline the lips. Reload and apply a thicker coat of lipstick to create a
sumptuous, deep sexy red mouth.

Subtle look:
1. Use the Light as a highlighter - either over your usual eye shadow or on its own. Apply a dot in the middle of your eyelid and in the corner of your eye. Dab lightly.
2. Use one coating of mascara for a natural look.
3. Load the applicator of the lipstick with a little bit of product and apply on the lips. Fade a little with fingers, to create a very chic blood-red
stain.
