After seeing endless photos on my intsa and facebook feed, I could'nt resisted and decided to find out what's that hype is all about after all. I was totally drawn towards two not-so-easy to find shades NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania and Monte Carlo. Today i will be talking about NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania. 

Nyx says : Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing.

Okay i will be honest , This particular shade is totally out of my comfort zone and i know i would hardly ever wear it . But i am a beauty blogger and a lipstick hoarder so i paid more than retail for this just because i got sucked in the hype. I wore it with slightly smoky eyes and posted a selfie on my instagram,Surprisingly everyone loved it. So i am going to keep it.

The texture is very silky and soft but application is another story. If you don't exfoliate prior than it may look very patchy. I prefer  using a dark lipliner underneath and if you have dry lips , i recommend using a lipblam as well.I have applied two layers in the above photo . When you are layering it make sure that the previous one is dry completely. The finish is matte, you can always apply a gloss over it but application of a gloss on top will reduce the transfer-resistance . It comes off with any good makeup remover.

If you are into trends and like deep shades

Great color

Feels Very comfortable on lips

Its non sticky

CONS: 

Drying

Hard to apply evenly when layering

Sinks a little bit into lines

Although from my review it may seem, i wasnt very fond of the product but honestly i am digging the matte look these days and have already ordered some everyday shade as well as Copenhagen .But if you want something similar available locaaly then go for DMGM photofix lipcolors (review here)
