MAC Cremesheen Lipsticks Shy Girl - Review,Swatch

I posted a fun little game on weekend , and asked all of you to guess the lipstick on blog,Facebook and on twitter, surprisingly you girls know your mac lipsticks . There were two lipsticks which you thought it was, ravishing or either Shy girl.

Correct Answer is MAC shy girl 


MAC Shy Girl Lipstick was on my wishlist with 1000 other lip stuff. I finally i got my hands on it and let me tell you one thing, i am not as excited as i thought i would be.

Mac shy girl is described as a creamy neutral coral beige on the mac cosmetics website. and has a Cremesheen finish with soft golden shimmer to the finish. On my pigmented lips its more of frosty pale milky peach color which to be honest doesn't look so flattering on its own but paired with smokey eyes and pop of color on cheeks, it look pretty acceptable. For me its not a everyday shade.I can see it work well on fair skin tones better .Shy girl is very warm toned ,it works better than Hue on my skin tone .But the biggest turn off for me was that the application is not even at all.On bare lips it cakes up a and emphasize dry patches and lines.No matter how many times i tried i Can't get smooth and even application, it always settles on the lines of my lips. So i apply a gloss over it.

Okay so first thing first, I have never used Asian BB creams so i have absolutely NO idea how and what to compare them with the American BB creams. I have read that there is a huge difference in claims and what not ,but i am reviewing on what i have tried so far. 

BB creams usually came in "one" shade when they were introduced but now companies are coming out with different shades to suit everyone. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream comes in variety of 5 shades

• Light ,
• Light Medium 
• Medium, 
• Deep, 
• Medium deep 

I have 5 shades medium deep.Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream comes with SPF 30, which is i think great since other BB cream are offering spf lower than that.

 It feels hydrating and smooth on application. The consistency is bit thinner compared to Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream
and  L'Oreal Youth Code BB Cream. The coverage is on the sheer side compared to garnier but it does manage to hide the dullness , and brightens up my face . I use my fingers and it blends beautifully on the skin. Its doesn't enhance the dry patches on my skin and in my opinion looks very natural. But i do dust a powder during day time to avoid looking oily as i have combination skin.Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream is quite moisturizing and feels really comfortable on my skin. Overall its a nice product with nice option of different shades and  it is perfect fors when you dont want to look all made up and want just a natural sheer finish to even out skin.
